These terms govern your use of the Level Up app and website. By creating an account or using Level Up you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Who can use Level Up
You must be at least 13 years old to use Level Up. If you are under 18, you should have permission from a parent or guardian. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for everything that happens under it.
2. Health and safety
Level Up is a training log and motivation tool, not medical advice. Ranks, strength scores, estimated one-rep maxes and suggestions are estimates based on general strength standards. They are not a recommendation to lift any particular weight.
- Talk to a doctor before starting a new exercise programme, especially if you have an injury, a medical condition or are pregnant
- Use proper technique, warm up, and use a spotter or safety equipment for heavy lifts
- Stop exercising and seek medical help if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath
You train at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for injuries or health problems that result from exercise you do while using the app.
3. Your content
You own the workouts, templates, custom exercises and other content you add to Level Up. You give us a licence to store, process and display that content so we can run the app, including showing it to friends, group members or the community where you choose to share it. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content others have already copied, such as community templates they have saved.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use a username, name or template that is offensive, hateful, misleading or infringes someone else's rights
- Harass, bully or impersonate other users
- Log fake workouts to manipulate leaderboards, ranks or group challenges
- Reverse engineer, scrape, overload or interfere with the app or its servers
- Use Level Up for anything unlawful
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
5. Level Up Pro subscriptions
Level Up is free to download. Logging, ranks, templates and social features are free. Level Up Pro unlocks extra features such as advanced analytics, personal record insights, unlimited workout history and progress charts for every lift.
- Pro is available as a monthly or yearly subscription. The current price is shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for
- If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com
If we change the price of Pro, Apple will tell you before the new price applies, and you can cancel before it does.
6. Our app
Level Up, including its design, code, rank system, artwork and branding, belongs to us and is protected by intellectual property law. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own training. These terms do not give you any other rights to it.
We are always improving Level Up, so features may change, be added or be removed. We will try to give notice of changes that significantly affect Pro subscribers.
7. Apple App Store
If you downloaded Level Up from the App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide support or maintenance, and is not responsible for any claims relating to the app. If the app does not conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You also agree to Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement, which applies alongside these terms.
8. Disclaimers
Level Up is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it running and your data safe, but we cannot promise the app will always be available, error-free or that rank and strength calculations will be accurate for every person. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Level Up in the 12 months before the claim. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab in the app. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription, so cancel that separately in your Apple ID settings. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes we will tell you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Level Up after that, you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws where you live and may bring proceedings in your local courts.
